The opening of the Beacon Wellness Center at North Sunflower Medical Center recently was the final project of a five-year strategic plan begun in 2005. The 33,000-square-foot building cost $8.6 million, making the project the most expensive building project in the history of Ruleville. Funding for the project was a mixture of federal, county, and hospital funds.
The Beacon Wellness Center is open seven days a week. Certified personal trainers are on hand to help plan a workout routine or give special instructions on the use of the equipment.
