Singing River Health System recently honored Jan Brantley, Eva Moran and Donna Jenkins as the January Employees of the Month.
Brantley, RN, SICU, was recognized as the Singing River Hospital Employee of the Month. She was born and raised in Grand Bay, Ala. She attended Mobile County High School and The University of South Alabama, where she received her bachelor os science in nursing degree. She began working for SRHS in 1986 and transferred to the Medical Intensive Care Unit in 1987. In 1996, she transferred to the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, and then transferred to the Surgical Intensive Care Unit in 2007.
Brantley currently lives in Mobile and is married to David Brantley who also works for Singing River Hospital as an RN for Critical Care Services. They have one child. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, reading, and exercising.
Brantley enjoys working for SRHS because she’s able to work with so many talented and knowledgeable professionals. “It is very important to always be aware and attentive to the needs of our patients and to consistently provide quality care.”
Moran, manager, Respiratory Care, was recognized as the Employee of the Month for Ocean Springs Hospital.
She was born in Biloxi and raised in Ocean Springs. She attended St. Martin High School and Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, where she earned her associates degree. She began working for Ocean Springs Hospital in 1996 as a respiratory therapist and was promoted to respiratory manager in 2005.
Moran currently lives in Ocean Springs and is married to Frank King, who works for Air Force Base – 403rd Wing. They have one child. She enjoys spending time with family, shopping, fishing, and relaxing.
Moran enjoys working for SRHS because of because this is her second home where everyone here is family. “I welcome every guest with a warm inviting smile and try to make a positive impact on the lives that I touch.”
Jenkins, medical lab technician, St. Martin Laboratory, was recognized as the Employee of the Month for SRHS outlying facilities.
She was born in Chicago and raised in Moss Point. She attended Moss Point High School and the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College where she earned her associates degree of applied science in medical laboratory technology. Before working for SRHS, she worked at Ingalls Shipbuilding for more than five years as a pipefitter. She began working for SRHS in 1998 as a phlebotomist and then transferred to Ocean Springs Hospital in 2007. She has been working for the St Martin Medical Complex since then.
Jenkins currently lives in Pascagoula. She has two children and two dogs. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, reading, and playing computer games.
Jenkins enjoys working for SRHS because she likes being a part of an organization that’s recognized for providing world-class care. “I love being a healthcare provider, so that makes providing world-class service easy for me.”
