Joseph Salloum, M.D., radiation oncologist at Forrest General’s Cancer Center, was recently recognized as winner of the MP3C Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment Award. This award is given by the Mississippi Partnership for Comprehensive Cancer Control Coalition at their annual conference, recognizing a commitment to work toward reducing cancer diagnoses and death in Mississippi.
“I am honored to be the recipient of the MP3C Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment award,” said Joseph Salloum, M.D. “I take pride in the quality of care we provide for our patients, and am fortunate to have a team of experienced professionals who rank very high in our field working with me. They allow me to deliver a superior level of care that is hard to match even at larger cancer centers.”
Salloum continued by saying that the award belongs not only to him, giving credit to everyone who works in radiation oncology at the Forrest General Cancer Center. “I would like to recognize them for their tireless effort, compassion and dedication,” said Salloum. “The real winner here is our community, as it has an exceptional cancer center that provides state-of-the-art care in the Pine Belt.”
