Mississippi State Hospital names Employees of the Month

Mississippi State Hospital (MSH) has named its Employees of the Month for May.  

Shaquita Clark of Clinton has been named Mississippi State Hospital’s Employee of the Month for Licensed Clinical Services, Melonda Quinn of Jackson has been named Employee of the Month for Direct Care Services and Marie Bingham of Jackson has been named Employee of the Month for Support Services. 

Clark, a Vicksburg native, is a social worker at the hospital, where she has been employed there for four years. 

 

Quinn has worked at the hospital for 18 years.

 

Bingham, a Terry native, is a Client Care Supervisor in the Environmental Services Division who has worked at MSH for 34 years. 

The MSH Employee of the Month award recognizes employees who have made outstanding contributions to the hospital through their work. The program is sponsored by Friends of Mississippi State Hospital Inc.

CCMC showing growth

Since Choctaw County Medical Center opened nearly two years ago, it continues to grow. CCMC is currently in the process of bringing in several new additions to the hospital, including a geri/psych unit, an Alzheimer patient care facility and its upgrading the existing radiology services by adding a CAT scan machine and bone density testing services. The geri/psych unit will open in December and the Alzheimer facility is expected to be open by March of 2006.

Once each of the additions is completed the hospital will employ approximately 60 additional employees along with the 155 already employed by the hospital.
