Alliance HealthCare System adds new maternity facility

Alliance HealthCare System has a new addition - a maternity facility named Precious Beginnings. Last year more than 600 babies were born in the area and most of the mothers had to commute to Memphis, Oxford or Tupelo. Now that kind of travel will not be necessary.

Currently, Alliance employs one OB-GYN, Dr. Leoto Prophete, a native of Holly Springs.

Alliance is currently surveying the community to see what kind of demand there is for classes and seminars for prospective mothers.
