Stephen Chamblee has been appointed Vice President Facilites Management for St Dominic Hospital effective December 22,2007. Mr. Chamblee will be filling a vacancy that will be created when Mr. Harold Lowery retires, after twenty years of decated service, on December 21, 2007.
North Mississippi Medical Center-Iuka’s Rehabilitation Services Department is now offering occupational therapy. Sidney Forbus, OT, will see patients by referral from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Forbus received her bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans.
Martha Dobbins has been selected as the most recent Employee of the Quarter at North Mississippi Medical Center-Iuka. She serves as a group exercise instructor at the Wellness Center and joined NMMC-Iuka in 2000. She is a certified People with Arthritis Can Exercise (PACE) instructor and a Tai Chi for Arthritis instructor.
Ann Barnes recently celebrated her retirement from North Mississippi Medical Center-Iuka with her co-workers and other members of the nursing staff at the hospital.
Ann graduated from Northeast Mississippi Junior College in May 1978 with an AD in nursing. She received her BSN in December of 1989 from the University of North Alabama in Florence.
Ann, along with her sister, Hilda Grisham, were treated to a dinner at the Country Squire Restaurant by her night shift rotation.
The nursing staff presented Ann with diamond earrings as a retirement gift.
Talmadge Powers has been selected as the most recent Employee of the Quarter at North Mississippi Medical Center-Iuka.
Powers, who serves as an EMS driver with the Emergency Services Department, joined NMMC-Iuka in 1983.
When nominating Powers, coworkers stated that he is very helpful to all employees and continuously goes beyond the call of duty. He was also cited for being a dedicated and dependable employee who provides excellent customer service to everyone.
