Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County recently named Samuel Lynd as the hospital’s assistant administrator.
Lynd, who most recently served as Baptist Memorial Health Care’s Frank S. Groner administrative fellow, will replace James Grantham, who was named administrator and CEO of Baptist Memorial Hospital-Booneville.
A native of Memphis, Tenn., Lynd earned his bachelor’s degree in health care management from the University of Alabama in 2009 and his master’s degree in business administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He received his second master’s degree in health administration from UAB in May.
He served as president of the student government association for UAB’s School of Health Professionals and was named the health care management student of the year at the University of Alabama in 2009. He is also a member of the American College of Health Care Executives.
“Sam has proven himself as a talented health care administrator during his time as Groner fellow,” said Randy King, vice president and regional market leader for Baptist Memorial Health Care. “His leadership skills and dedication will be an asset to the leadership team at Baptist Union County.”
