LaDonna Rigdon earns national certification

LaDonna Rigdon, director of nutritional services at Laird Hospital in Union, has achieved the tile of Certified Dietary Manager, Certified Food Protection Professional (CFM, CFPP), the highest level of professional achievement in the field of dietary management. She has been with the hospital for six years. After earning her Certificate of Dietary Management from Auburn University, she completed the process by passing examinations held by the Certifying Board for Dietary Managers.

Laird adds new services

Laird Hospital, a 25-bed critical-care facility located in Union, Miss., has been serving patients since 1938.

Today, Laird employs approximately 180 people, including 41 staff physicians and reaches patients within a 25-mile radius.

Two new services have been recently added to the community-based hospital. The staff now includes hospitalists and rehabilitation and physical therapy.
