The House on March 27 approved the Trauma Care Systems Planning and Development Act (H.R. 727), which authorizes $12 million in fiscal year 2008 to improve state trauma care systems and access to trauma care. Sponsored by Reps. Gene Green (D-TX) and Michael Burgess (R-TX), the bill also authorizes $10 million for FY 2009 and $8 million annually for FYs 2010-12.
