REHABILIATION SERVICES DIRECTOR
This director will evaluate and administer therapeutic procedures utilized in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Services.  Must possess a degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Therapy from an accredited school and have a minimum of five years clinical experience.  Two years in a leadership experience required.  Current Mississippi state licensure required.

Director of Patient Financial Services - Hattiesburg, MS

Forrest General Hospital is seeking a Director of Patient Financial Services.

Responsible for the overall patient account management process. Assigned areas of responsibility include patient accounts, third-party billing and follow-up, governmental billing and follow-up, self-pay collections, outside collection services, cash applications, credit balance coordination, customer service, departmental budget, and applicable involvement with any related Patient Financial Services functions at all extensions of Forrest General Hospital. Employs organizational strategies in a balanced approach that produces meaningful contributions to each element of the Formula for Success. POSITION: The Director of Patient Financial Services reports to the Director, Revenue Cycle, and ultimately the C.F.O. Is responsible for directing the patient accounting functions for Forrest General Hospital.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree is required; bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or hospital administration preferred. Additionally five years experience in experience in health care patient accounts management, preferably in an acute care hospital or similar institution, is required. The selected candidate will have direct knowledge and experience related to the entire revenue cycle to include: financial counseling, billing, governmental systems and regulations, commercial insurance collections, self-pay collections, and customer support. Additionally, he or she will be customer service oriented, and have a good understanding of commercial insurance, managed care, and governmental regulations, as well as knowledge of budgeting, and ability to keep expenses within budget. The candidate must have a clear understanding of maximizing information resources and interfaces, advanced collection procedures, and billing requirements. There is a strong preference for candidates with SMS Invision knowledge. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word, and have good overall computer skills. Further, the candidate will have a demonstrated aptitude for process improvement/reengineering and the ability to build strong management teams and communicate effectively.

The Director of HIM directs all departmental functions related to the Hospital's Health Information Management Department and Medical Library Services. Works in an administrative, financial, and clinical capacity relative to the implementation and monitoring of systems necessary for the Hospital's Health Information Management Program and Medical Library Services. Provides leadership in the Hospital’s Enterprise Document Imaging business operations.

Scope of Services includes direction of: Patient Identification and numbering system; Creation and monitoring of medical record documentation; Release of Information; Dictation and transcription systems for Health Information Management and Radiology; ICD-9 and CPT coding for billing; Decision Support; Cancer Registry; HIPPA regulation compliance, data security, privacy, and confidentiality processes; Document Imaging; Chart Management and Tracking; Storage and retrieval systems; and Medical Library Services. JCAHO function leader for all Health Information Management standards. Assist in preparation of department budget; Administer department budget and ensures that all spending is within budgetary guidelines

Provides support and development opportunities for Health Information Management and Medical Library Services personnel. Good organizational skills are necessary for assisting in the planning, directing, and evaluating Department functions.
