AHA launches health IT survey

The American Hospital Association encourages all hospitals to complete the third annual Information Technology Supplement to the AHA Annual Survey, which their CEOs should have received in the mail last week. They should forward the survey to their chief information officer or other appropriate person to complete on paper or online by June 28.

"This important survey is designed to gather information that the AHA will use to inform federal policy initiatives aimed at improving the access to and use of health information technology by hospitals," AHA President and CEO Rich Umbdenstock states in the survey cover letter. "It also will help paint an accurate portrait for our field, legislators, the media and others of the impressive strides hospitals are making in this critical area."
