The conference education will begin on Thursday, June 8, at 9 a.m. with our keynote speaker, Dr. David Wolf, an American astronaut, medical doctor, electrical engineer and inventor. Considered the “father” of the Space Bioreactor, he led the team developing this tissue engineering methodology now used for state-of-the-art cancer research and regenerative medicine. He will be available for a meet-and-greet and autographs for an hour after his session in the sponsor room.
The MHA HIIN is sponsoring Stephen D. Minton, MD, of Intermountain Healthcare at 11 a.m.
For our afternoon session, Jamie L. Haeuser, founder and principal at Haeuser Health Strategies LLC, will present a three-hour session, Developing a Culture for Change, approved by ACHE for three face-to-face credit hours. (If you also attend our ACHE pre-conference on Wednesday, June 7, you can earn a total of 4.5 face-to-face hours during MHA's Leadership Conference!)
Join us for a Summer White Out Night Out. The Chairman's Reception will have music, food, and fun for the whole family! (You don't want to miss it. It's gonna be OUT OF THIS WORLD!)
Friday, June 9
Robert M. "Bo" Snyder will be the speaker for our Trustee Appreciation Breakfast at 7:30 a.m. He will cover proven ways that boards can create high-performing organizations. This breakfast is our Thank You for to Mississippi hospital trustees, but all conference participants are invited to join us.
For our closing session, Korky von Kessel, Senior Vice President of Life Wings, will present What Every Healthcare Leader Can Learn from The Miracle on the Hudson. He will explore the lessons learned from Capt. "Sully" Sullenberger's heroic landing on the Hudson River.
