Legislative Update - February 4, 2009

 

SB 3044, the Medicaid Technical Amendments bill opposed by MHA, was defeated in the Senate Appropriations Committee yesterday. Some 50 hospital administrators and staff were present at the Capitol working to insure the measure’s defeat.

HB 105, the Medicaid Technical Amendments bill supported by MHA, passed the House Ways and Means Committee yesterday. The bill now goes to the full House for consideration.   

Also, Senate Judiciary A Committee passed SB 3114, the hospital lien bill. That measure now goes to the full Senate.
