The Mississippi Hospital Association, in conjunction with the Mississippi Health Information Network (MS-HIN), will co-host the Mississippi Health Information Technology Summit on September 27, 2012, from 9:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the MHA Conference Center in Madison.
The Mississippi Health Information Network (MS-HIN) is a secure electronic exchange of health information which allows providers quick, reliable access to patient health records. The MS-HIN provides patients' records at the point of care fostering better quality of care, improved health outcomes and operating efficiencies. The primary goals of the Mississippi Health Information Technology Summit is to help stakeholders understand how they and their organizations fit into the big picture of health information exchange (HIE) in Mississippi; enable stakeholders to learn about assets and services available in Mississippi that are key to planning for clinical and administrative integration; and discuss opportunities associated with health information technology and secure electronic information exchange for improved health outcomes and reduces costs.

This workshop was created for CEOs, CFOs, Department Directors, CIO, HIT, Compliance, Medical Records/Health Information personnel, Educators, Nurse Executives and Nurse Managers. The cost to attend is $75 for MHA members and $175 for non-members.
