The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius announced a rule finalizing the ICD-10 delay 1 year to 2014 – from Oct. 1, 2013, to Oct. 1, 2014 – in the compliance date for use of ICD-10 codes, which classify diseases and health problems.
