North Mississippi Medical Center will host "Addressing Rehabilitation Needs Across the Life Span," a continuing education conference for rehabilitation professionals, on Friday, Oct. 12.
Continuing education credit has been approved for physical therapists and assistants, occupational therapists and assistants, and speech-language pathologists.
Participants will learn about providing rehabilitative care for patients in various stages of recovery, as well as the multidisciplinary team approach to patient care. Topics include neurology basics, aphasia, apraxia, dysarthria and dementia; myofascial mobilization related to swallowing, functional reach and gait, among others.
