The first module, Prevention of Sharps Injuries in the Healthcare Setting, provides guidance on implementation of safety initiatives to comply with the European Sharps Directive, which is expected to become a binding Directive in May 2013. This module aims to help achieve the safest possible working environment for healthcare workers through the prevention of sharps injuries. The second module, Sharps and Ergonomic Safety in the Healthcare Setting, examines techniques for complying with regulations pertaining to sharps and ergonomic safety in North America.
Ansell has published education modules for nearly 20 years and has compiled a library of these resources, available on its website or partner websites free of charge.
