New toolkit is aimed at curbing violence against ED nurses

 

The Emergency Nurses Association has developed the Workplace Violence Toolkit in an effort to protect emergency department nurses against work-related violence. The online toolkit includes resources such as assessment tools, staff education materials, sample policies and research articles and summaries.

Nursing honor society creates new leadership program

Sigma Theta Tau International, a nursing honor society, received $300,000 from The Elsevier Foundation to establish the Nurse Faculty Leadership Academy, designed to bolster recruitment and retention of nurse faculty. The academy model uses online discussion forums, individualized leadership programs and a mentor collaboration initiative.
