Americans are more concerned about having to delay or cancel medical treatment in the next few months, according to a Consumer Healthcare Sentiment Index released June 28 by Thomson Retuers. Overall confidence dropped to a new low in May.
Althoughthe monthly tracking report showed a temporary increase in April, the longterm trend has been a steady decline since the report began tracking American attitudes about healthcare in December 2009, according to Gary Pickens, chief research officer with the healthcare and science division at Thomson Reuters. The Index is compiled based on interviews with 3,000 households each month.
