Chris Joiner of HPICO participated in this year's Palmer Home Hunt. It was the biggest group of kids they have ever had, with 28 hunters between the ages of 10 to 15 that were super excited about spending the day at Yellow Creek.
The day started off with a short sermon and some gun safety speeches from local MS Dept of Wildlife and Fisheries guys. The first half of the kids went to shoot guns, most of them for the first time, while the other half played football and shot a game of pool. (Chris even managed to get beat in both of these events!)
After lunch the other half shot and they started to get ready for the afternoon hunt. Chris had a great time and can’t wait to go back next year. Over 60 volunteers stayed up till 1 in the morning cleaning deer.
Chris sends out a special Thank you to MHA and its employees for the donations he received in the effort.
