With Miss Mississippi Asya Branch serving as Grand Marshal, Mississippi State Hospital’s annual Christmas Parade will hit the streets of its campus on Friday, Dec. 7.
Branch, a native of Booneville, is a University of Mississippi student studying integrated marketing communications. She was crowned Miss Mississippi 2018 in June.
The parade, complete with themed floats and local marching bands, starts at 10 a.m., with the line up of floats beginning at 9. The public is invited.
A large number of floats and bands will be part of the parade. Schools already scheduled to participate include Raymond High School and ROTC, Northwest Jackson Middle School, Jim Hill High School, Hardy Middle School choir and Ridgeland ROTC.
Santa Day, the culmination of MSH’s holiday activities, is Friday, Dec. 21.
