The MHA Cares fund was established in 2005 by the Mississippi Hospital Association to assist families of hospital employees affected by natural disasters. Beginning with Hurricane Katrina, this fund has been a means of support to healthcare workers around the state in times of hardship due to storms. Since Katrina, we have had numerous tornadoes, etc. and this fund has been activated for each one.
All funds raised through this effort are distributed to hospitals in the affected areas. The hospital then distributes it to the employees who need it most.
We are currently soliciting funds for hospital employees impacted by the recent tornadoes across the state. Please know that 100% of the donations collected through the Fund will be distributed to hospital employees through their HR department. No funds collected are ever used for the administration of the MHA Cares Fund.
Mississippians are known for their charity. We always show up when our brothers and sisters face disaster. This is certainly one of those times when we show up. The MHA Cares fund is one way we can. Our fellow Mississippians need us. Please consider making a tax-deductible contribution to the MHA Cares Fund. We also encourage you to share this site with others in your community.
