The Mississippi Hospital Association (MHA) will host our 74th annual Leadership Conference June 29 through July 1 at the Grand Hotel Point Clear Resort & Spa in Point Clear, Ala. This year’s theme, which is especially relevant as MHA prepares to move into our new building, is Building Better Healthcare. The theme is
also very timely because we have all seen the effects of the radical restructuring of health care policy and agenda this year – nationally with billing and collection lawsuits and locally with changes to our state’s Medicaid program.
Conference speakers include Dr. Lowell Catlett, Fred Lee, Commander Scott Waldell (U.S. Navy Retired), Samuel Odle, FACHE, and Sid Salter.
Annual events being held in conjunction with the conference include the Annual Membership Luncheon featuring the presentation of the Mississippi Trustee of the
Year Award for 2005 and meetings of the MHA Board of Governors and House of Delegates, MHA Solutions Board of Directors, Quarter Century Executive Forum and the Mississippi Council for Hospital Trustees. For family fun, we’ve got optional sporting events, including the annual golf tournament and bay fishing, and special programs just for kids and spouses.
The conference brochure is attached below in Acrobat format. Online registration is available here.
