Dr. Dale Henry
The Mississippi Hospital Association’s Society for Hospital Auxiliaries and Volunteer Service Annual Meeting is set for Wednesday, November 1, at the MSU Riley Center in Meridian. Dr. Dale Henry is the keynote speaker and Donnie Smith from Rush Health Systems will be the emcee for the 2006 Volunteer of the Year Awards luncheon.
Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the meeting will adjourn at 2:30 p.m. At 10: 15 a.m., Dr. Dale Henry will present If Ignorance is Bliss, Why Aren’t We Happy? Henry will talk about humor’s place in the office and its importance in daily interactions with customers, co-workers and family members. (And find out why laughter really is the best medicine.)
The Volunteer of the Year Awards will be presented during a luncheon with the annual business session to follow. This year’s award recipients will each be presented with a Volunteer of the Year pin and will be recognized in a commemorative DVD and awards booklet. Video from the DVD will be shown during the luncheon.
