CMS call to focus on ICD-10 implementation for physicians, other providers

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services will host an Aug. 3 teleconference on ICD-10 implementation strategies for physicians. The call will include an update on implementation issues of interest to hospitals and other health care providers.

For details and to register, visit www.cms.gov. Providers must use the ICD-10 coding system to report diagnoses and procedures on health care claims beginning Oct. 1, 2013.
