Next week is “Get Smart About Antibiotics Week,” and MHA urges its members to be part of this effort to raise awareness about proper antibiotic use.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has designated Nov. 16-20 as a time to educate the community and providers about the threat of antibiotic resistance and the importance of appropriate antibiotic prescribing. Each day will explore different aspects of the issue, including the role of patients and families, clinicians and prescribing practices, the impact of farming and agriculture and more.
The CDC Web site provides a number of promotional and educational resources.
